Meghan Markle endorsed for White House run major democrats activities as sh tops new poll

The Duchess of Sussex has been backed by President Joe Biden's sister Valerie for a run at the White House, with many members of the public also supporting her in a new poll.

Meghan Markle has long been rumoured to hold political aspirations, and her hopes may be one step closer to being realised as a major political activist has backed her to run for the White House.

President Biden's sister Valerie has reportedly endorsed her as a potential candidate, and she has also topped a poll in which Democrats were asked which women they would vote for.

The Duchess tied with Vice President Kamala Harris, and is ahead of former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, the Daily Mail reports.

Since moving to Montecito with her husband Prince Harry and their young family there has been speculation that Meghan could run for a political position such as the Governor of California.

Other actors such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronald Reagan have held the role before, with the latter going on to become President in the 1980s.

However, US polling experts have claimed the fact that Meghan is even being suggested as a possibility shows that the "choices the Democrats have are not great".

It has also recently been reported that Harry and Meghan were refused a flight in Air Force One back to the US with President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden after the Queen's state funeral last September.

This Friday, August 4, will see Meghan celebrate her 42nd birthday, but according to a PR expert she is likely to mark the day quietly with family and close friends.

The Sussexes were reportedly refused a lift on Air Force One after the Queen's funeral

PR expert Mayah Riaz told the Mirror that the Duchess would probably choose to mark the occasion with no big fuss, adding: "[The celebrations] will possibly be quite toned down this year and likely to be a private affair.

"It's quite possible that Meghan will spend the day of her actual birthday at home in Montecito, surrounded by her two children, Prince Harry, possibly her mother Doria [Ragland] and their rescue dogs."

A Sussex representative told Us Weekly last year that Meghan spent her big day surrounded by her loved ones. They said: "The Duchess is enjoying a lovely birthday this year with her family and dear friends."

The Duke and Duchess may also step out for a romantic dinner in their local neighbourhood, as they have been seen doing in recent weeks.

In May they enjoyed a meal with Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow at Santa Barbara hotspot Sushi Bar.

Although the rest of the Royal Family may privately wish Meghan happy birthday, as she is not a working member of the Firm they will not put any official message out on social media.
