Duke and Duchess of Sussex Release New Video Amid Ongoing Tensions With Buckingham Palace 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a joint appearance in a new video amid ongoing tensions with Buckingham Palace, as reported by Fox News on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. This video marks their first public appearance together since the alleged car chase incident in New York after an awards ceremony in May, 2023. Also, since the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not attended any royal events together.

In the heartwarming clip, shared on their Archewell Foundation's website, the couple is seen calling recipients of The Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund. They congratulated and expressed gratitude to the young people for their groundbreaking work in changing the future of technology. The fund awarded 26 individuals and organizations a total of $2 million to support their efforts in creating a more inclusive and accountable online world.

During the video call, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were visibly affectionate and supportive towards each other. They expressed appreciation for the work done and hinted at their children, Archie and Lilibet, being equally thankful, with Markle jokingly stating, "They don’t know it yet! But they will!"

The joint appearance in the video comes amidst rumors about the couple's strained relationship, but they presented a united front during the call. However, their relationship with Buckingham Palace and the royal family remains tense.

Notably, Prince Harry and Prince William did not meet in person at the Diana Award ceremony in July, where William delivered a prerecorded message. Similarly, Prince Harry missed events like Trooping the Colour for King Charles III, indicating the ongoing tensions within the royal family.

The decision to exclude the couple from certain events was perceived as a result of their perceived estrangement and departure from the traditional royal role, especially following Prince Harry's tell-all memoir "Spare" and the couple's Netflix docuseries "Harry & Meghan." The situation has added to the existing rift between the Sussexes and Buckingham Palace, as reported by royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams to Fox News Digital.

Prince Harry attended King Charles III's coronation but left promptly for California to be with Meghan and his family, skipping the post-ceremony celebrations. 

Despite the tensions, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue their charitable work and advocacy efforts through the Archewell Foundation. The video call with The Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund recipients showcased their dedication to making a positive impact on the future of technology and society.
