The recent Scottish coronation of King Charles was an event steeped in centuries-old tradition and regality. At the heart of the spectacle, Kate Middleton and Prince William, the Prince and Princess of Wales—also known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland—swelled with pride and participated alongside the King and Queen Camilla.

Amidst the grandeur and pomp of St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh, Kate Middleton's fashionable tribute to Scotland was notable. She appeared in a dramatic, bold blue coatdress, an homage to the country’s flag. In a symbolic act, King Charles received the Honours of Scotland, Britain's oldest crown jewels—consisting of the Crown of Scotland, the Sceptre, and a newly commissioned Elizabeth Sword—during the service.

The King and Queen's first Royal Week was marked by embracing history and making new memories. A series of engagements such as a tour of the Royal Yacht Britannia, a garden party, and attendance of the Ceremony of the Keys at the Palace of Holyroodhouse describes their active participation in civic and social duties.
