Prince George of Wales is the son of Prince William and Princess Kate. The eldest of their three children, he was born in 2013 and is the future King of the UK.
But when it comes to looks, royal fans tend to agree Prince George got his more from his father's side than his mother's...
And recently a post about a paternal ancestor had fans repeating that once again. That distant relative was: John Spencer, the father of Princess Diana.
Prince George got his features from a great-grandfather
Diana's brother Charles Spencer recently shared the photo of their father in his teens, in honour of what would've been his 99th birthday.
On Twitter, royal fans were sure to comment on how the late Earl Spencer passed down his looks to his male descendants.
One wrote: "The male genes very strong in your family. [...] You and little Prince George are so alike and you can see it also in this picture."
While some pointed out the likeness between Prince George and his great-grandfather, others felt they saw his traits in his grandsons William and Harry.
In any case, Charles Spencer wrote in his tribute: "A glimpse of my father as a 16-year-old cadet in 1940. 4 years later he'd be Mentioned in Despatches for his role as a tank commander in the Normandy invasion."
John Spencer was born in 1924 and lived to the age of 68. Clearly, his legacy lives on today in his descendants...
