Line Of Succession: THIS Royal Made Top Ten When The Queen Died! And Why?

A new member of the Royal Family entered the Top 10 in line to the throne when Queen Elizabeth II died. Find out the surprising royal who now stands 10th in British succession.

In recent years, the British line of succession has shifted around quite a bit. High-ranking royals had children throughout the past decade, and then came the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.

When the Queen died, her eldest son ascended the throne as King Charles III. Those who trailed him in line also moved up one spot.

With the change, a new royal entered the succession Top 10 for the first time in their life – and it may not be who you'd expect...

British throne: Succession got a new royal in Top 10

Moment of truth: it's actually Sienna Mapelli Mozzi, daughter of Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo.

Sienna's mother Princess Beatrice (9th in line) is the eldest child of Prince Andrew (8th), the second eldest son of the late Queen and Prince Philip.

So, young Sienna, born in 2021, now stands 10th in line to the throne. At the time of her birth, she was 11th.

Though a little-known member of the Royal Family, Sienna Mapelli Mozzi ranks ahead of prominent royals like Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and her aunt Princess Eugenie, due to traditions based on descent.

Currently, the Top 10 in line to the throne even features more children than adults. It's primarily the kids of Prince William (1st), Prince Harry (5th), and Princess Beatrice (9th). It goes:

1) Prince William

2) Prince George

3) Princess Charlotte

4) Prince Louis

5) Prince Harry

6) Archie Mountbatten-Windsor

7) Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor

8) Prince Andrew

9) Princess Beatrice

10) Sienna Mapelli Mozzi
